Craig Bonnyman has been involved in the gas central heating industry for a number of years, having gained experience working for his family’s business in the same industry. Craig’s main interest is in the private domestic central heating market, particularly in the maintenance of domestic gas central heating systems. Craig enjoys keeping up to date with the latest innovations in the domestic central heating market, trying out as many new products as possible to gain first-hand experience from a user’s perspective. Aside from central heating, he takes an interest in most aspects of home maintenance, such as plumbing, electrics and renovation projects.
In recent years he began running his own business, Scottish Boiler Care. The business specialises in low-cost maintenance for domestic gas central heating systems, as well as the installation of new boilers and heating systems. One of the main aims of the business is to offer a high quality service at a price which is substantially cheaper than the major national providers. And it is for this reason that many of Scottish Boiler Care’s customers have come from one of the major national providers.
In the UK, the “Home services” market has been dominated by the “Big 6” energy provider, British Gas. British Gas was a government owned entity until it was privatised by a Conservative Government in 1986. With around 15 million energy customers, British Gas (Scottish Gas in Scotland) is seen by many as the defacto choice for homeowners looking for a new boiler, or maintenance for their existing heating system. British Gas are the industry leader in the home services market, and generally provide a good level of service, however, they are known to be very expensive, and that is where opportunities lie for other providers who can provide similar services at a lower cost. One of Craig’s missions is to ensure that the general public are aware that there is choice in the marketplace. He enjoys assisting homeowners seamlessly transition to a new more economical maintenance plan, while still maintaining a high quality of service to give his customers peace of mind.
As Scottish Boiler Care grows, so too will its ambition to continue to provide a high quality of service to its customers, and the company is aware that investing in technology and training will be key factors in achieving this. Craig and his team will continue to work tirelessly to keep their customers happy, and with an “Excellent” rating of 9.2/10 on the independent online review site, Truspilot, it would appear that this is working.
